About Skinny Ties:
Alright, so you've come to pick out a skinny tie, right? If you don't know what to choose then no worries! We'll be more than happy to explain about skinny ties and that's the right one for you. Everyone has their own, unique style and at Plytie.com we thrive to embrace all of them!
A skinny tie is different from a necktie because of the size. A skinny tie at its max size will range around 3" and as little as 1.5". With this being said you must know what size is right for you.
Skinny ties are like Pringles cans. Very offensive in a subtle way. But, then they again can be very "nice." Don't get it? Let me explain. Skinny ties are a way of showing the body more. If you are a bit more on the bulky side, a skinny tie is not for you. It lets people see more of your body and not as much of the tie. Like, with the Pringles can if you are a bit on the bulky side it's hard to fit your hand down the can. Skinny ties are made more for the fit type, or the scrawny/skinny type; that's just how it works. But, if you are on the bulky side, don't worry neckties are probably the best solution for you.
A Skinny tie is a very popular fashion piece for our time. But it is not the tie that works anywhere. It must be worn properly if you want to look your best. A wide lapel on your suit with a skinny tie makes you look "unprofessional." So, you must choose with caution, making sure your suit has a more narrow lapel. This may not seem important but when the time comes you'll realize what we mean.
Not a suit guy? There are different skinny ties that can suit (See what we did there?) your type. We recommend you wear a darker colored tie with a sort of pastel-colored dress shirt. But, in the tie world, this is common knowledge as you will learn when time goes by.
